Q&A

Should we RSVP now?

We kindly ask that you RSVP for the Paducah Reception by May 22, 2024 in order for us to have an estimated head count for food and beverages. The website RSVP function will allow you to list yourself and other guests in your party attending.

Are children welcome?

We are welcoming children to join for our local Paducah celebration but please know this is an adult event with alcohol and live music and we cannot be responsible for what kids may hear or see. We would love for everyone to get a sitter and enjoy a night out but understand that is not doable for everyone. Please include your kiddos in the headcount for your party when you RSVP.

What should we wear to the Paducah Reception?

Dress code is "Dressy Casual." This is a nothing fancy, just love kind of event and want everyone to come comfortable and ready to celebrate! Think of what you wear for a night out or nicer dinner. We kindly ask to you refrain from wearing jean or cargo shorts, tshirts, or other very casual wear as we will have a photographer present capturing the event! The venue is indoors with an outdoor alleyway that will be utilized dependent on weather.

For women: a summery sundress, or nice skirt and top or romper will work great. Also ok to wear nice denim jeans or dressier pants/khakis with and a "going out" top (IYKYK lol).
For men: a nice buttoned down or short sleeved shirt or collared shirt/polo are all adequate. Linen or khaki pants or nicer shorts (not jean or cargos) are great options. Nice denim jeans are also okay. Dress pants are not required and you can skip the tie!

What is the bar and food situation?

We are having heavy appetizer type foods with no seated meal for the Paducah Reception.

There will also be a limited open bar. The hosted bar will include a variety of beer, wine, and nonalcoholic options. There will also be a few signature drinks included in this and a mocktail. The hosted bar will have a cap and transition to a cash bar once the max is reached. A full cash bar will also be available if you'd like to sip on something not included in the hosted bar.

Where should I stay?

There will be no formal room block for the Paducah reception. Please find accommodations at any of the hotels locally. There are also a number of air bnbs, VRBOs, and bed and breakfasts in the area. Camping grounds are around locally as well (would recommend out at Kentucky Lake if this is the route you're going).

The Holiday Inn Paducah Riverfront is the closest hotel to the party venue if you're looking to book close by.

Will this be an epic party?

Absolutely, yes.

Things To Do

We love our town and can't wait to share Paducah with so many of our loved ones traveling in from out of area. Paducah is filled with art, food, and history. Whether your coming for just the night or making a weekend out of it, we hope you have time to visit some of our favorite places. We will also highlight a few things Paducah is known for in this list.

Dry Ground Brewing Company

One of Ali and Andrew's favorite local watering holes, Dry Ground Brewing Company is Paducah's first craft brewery. Located in the old Coca Cola building and is a great example of a historic building rehab. A great outdoor patio and trivia on Thursdays, dry ground has a little bit of everything for the beer lover. Ali usually opts for the cider or sour beer on rotation and Andrew goes for the Adam's Beard and the Umbra (usually seasonal).

3121 Broadway St, Paducah, KY 42001

Etcetera Coffeehouse

Ali and Andrew's favorite local coffee spot! A relaxed vibe with great coffee, tea, treats and more. Indoor and outdoor seating and a resident cat, Vinnie, who is the back patio tenant. Ali's go to is an iced spanish latte (get it with butterscotch for a little something extra) or a staff creation called "Landee". Andrew always orders the staff creation "Isreal" with an extra shot of espresso. Make sure to get their early for their homemade quiches on the weekends!

320 N 6th St, Paducah, KY 42001

Freight House

A MUST visit while in town and one of Ali and Andrew's favorite dinner spots. Experience the simple, rustic delicacy that is western Kentucky cuisine. A farm-to-table restaurant owned by chef Sara Bradley, a native Paduchan and contestant on seasons 16 and 20 of Bravo's Top Chef. Make a reservation ahead of time on their website and try out their rotating seasonal menu or their staples. Andrew and Ali love the pork shoulder and shrimp and grits.

This bourbon-centric bar lives in the shell of an over-150-year-old building and features one of largest selections in the United States, boasting more than 1,400 Bourbons and American whiskeys. Shop the arts district

Paducah is one of nine in the nation of named UNESCO Creative Cities for the important role it has played in the connectivity of cultures through creativity. The Greenway Trail

If you're looking to get some steps in then make sure to go outside and visit the safe and beautiful Greenway trail. You can walk, jog, cycle or even rollerblade and walk with a stroller on the cement portions of the trail. It extends more than 5 miles linking residential neighborhoods with several city parks, the McCracken County trail system, and the riverfront. The trail is open to non-motorized traffic from dawn to dusk. Distance markers, shelters, and benches are located along the trail and it can be accessed through the park either at Stuart Nelson Park (trail is in the back of the park and this park also has a frisbee golf course), Noble Park near the ballfields, the Convention Center, or riverfront.

Floodwall Murals

Located in downtown Paducah on the riverfront, these murals painted on floodwalls depicting the history of the Paducah area. You can walk along the wall in between visiting local bars in restaurants downtown. Fun fact- Andrew actually took Ali on this walk during their first official date!

Meet The Bridal Party

Matron of Honor

Haley Mason

Haley and Ali are cousins by chance and bestfriends by choice. Although it took a few years of beating the hell out of each other for them to figure out how to properly show their love. They infamously were not allowed to be in the same classroom in elementary school after multiple fights in Kindergarten. With mom's who are twins they were mistaken as sisters more often than not during childhood. Haley has the best sense of humor and is one of the only people to consistently make Ali belly laugh. She had the job of "Maid of Honor" secured far before Andrew was in the picture. She is truly the best friend Ali could ask for and will always be her person.

If you see her at wedding, events conversation topics could include: Horror films, Halloween as a lifestyle, Roller Derby, Buncha Crunch being the ultimate movie theatre snack, her many furbabies, and all things reading (she is a Librarian!). Her favorites would be Harry Potter, The Host, and Vampire Academy. She is an Eastern Illinois University and Murray State University alumni

Bridesmaid

Cassidy Ehrlich

Ali met Cass in nursing school and quickly realized she would be a forever friend. They moved in together during college and have had many late nights and wild adventures since. Most importantly they adopted Fatcat (who now lives with Ali full time) and a betafish (named Shaquille O'Teal) who somehow lived way past its anticipated life span because they were such good moms. Ali always says that Cassidy is the calm to her storm. She is the "go with the flow" that Ali inspires to be. Cassidy is always down for trying new things and having a good time but also such a dependable and dedicated person. She is a steadfast friend and Ali's go to voice of reason.

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: The Chicago Cubs, how many weddings she has officiated, her recent job promotion, end of the night Rumple Minze shots, her dogs (Oliver and Bear), making the best steak tacos, and how long her leftovers have been in the freezer

Bridesmaid

Kathryn Workman

Katie and Ali have been friends since high school. She was a sophomore when Ali was a senior and they were in all the music and drama activities together. In fact, there is an iconic picture floating around of Katie playing Dorothy and Ali playing Glenda the Good Witch in the musical The Wiz. After graduation they went on their own journeys but ended up reconnecting when Ali became Katie's first nursing Preceptor after she started the RN residency at Carle Hospital in Champaign. She puts the meaning in "soul sister" and easily fit in to Ali's family becoming an honorary "Branson Cousin." Living states a part now makes their time together even more special and they continue to bond over their love for good music, great food, travel, and healthcare horror stories.

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Her cats (Oliver and Bean), the Chicago Cubs, the Grateful Dead, her new city life in Milwaukee, working as a RN, all things cooking, Bourbon, and how she had the best maid of honor for her wedding. She is an Illinois Wesleyan University alumni

Bridesmaid

Bethany Ash

One of the first interactions Ali ever had with Bethany was her jumping out of a closet (that she had been hiding in for way too long) and scaring the shit out of Ali while she was entering her apartment. She was trying to scare Cassidy but ended up getting Ali first and the rest is history! Bethany, Cassidy, and Ali ended up all moving in together during college and made so many amazing memories (some may say they also had too much fun). Bethany is strong willed, fiercely protective, always has the best purse snacks, and is also not afraid to put Ali in her place when she needs it. She loves her people hard and goes out of her way to make them feel special. Ali is beyond blessed to now be one of her people.

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Her ever growing shoe collection, how to make the best cheesecake, her cats (Leia and Baby Yoda), true crime, chocolate martinis, and the best hiding spots for food (protip- it is not underneath the coffee table). She is a University of Illinois alumni

Bridesmaid

Taylor Reed

Somehow Taylor and Ali did not meet until nursing school even though they grew up only towns a part, went to competing high schools, and graduated the same year. Taylor is always the life of the party and her and Ali have gotten themselves into a fair amount of trouble on nights that were supposed to be meeting for "only one drink". She is patient, thoughtful, genuine, and always down to dance or to take that shot Ali is pushing on everyone. She has always been one of Ali's biggest cheerleaders and she would not have made it through nursing or nurse practitioner school or finished her album without Taylor. She inspires Ali to be a better NP and person everyday and her patients are dang lucky to have her!

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Her dog (Lucy), where to get the best hot wings, country music concerts, life as a Nurse Practitioner, her favorite beach vacation (because the hotter the weather the better), and if she can still drop it drop it low, girl

Bridesmaid

Emma Mattingly

It is hard to make new friends as an adult, especially when you move to a new state. Ali was fortunate enough to meet Emma after moving to Paducah and they became fast friends. Emma has helped Ali grow so much as a person in the short time they have known each other. She is a therapist professionally and still always open to listen and offer advice when her friends need it. You can always count on Emma to meet you for cocktails on a patio and she is the loudest one cheering every time Ali does karaoke. Living in Paducah is a little sweeter with a friend like Emma and Ali will always be grateful to have her.

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: The String Cheese Incident, being the neighborhood cat lady, UofL Cardinals athletics, Bourbon, her beautiful home renovations, where's her juul, and starting her own private practice. She is a University of Louisville alumni

Bridesmaid

Sydney Day

When two moms grow up together and stay bestfriends, that automatically makes their daughters built in bestfriends as well. Sydney and Ali have known each other their entire lives and are more like family than friends. Ali grew up babysitting Sydney and her sisters and always referred to Sydney as her "mini me". She is the little sister Ali never had and a truly amazing friend and person. She works hard to better herself and better her life despite what she has been through and Ali could not be more proud to watch her turn into the woman she is today. She unfortunately cannot join us in PR but will always be a part of Ali and Andrew's bridal party!

If you see her at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Wedding planning (as she is the soon to be Mrs. Wedel!), the show Yellowstone, being so short she should technically drive with a booster seat, horseback riding, eating her weight in crawfish at every boil

Best Man

Tyler Neihoff

Although they may not look related, they are in fact brothers and both half Puerto Rican. Tyler isn't only Andrew's kid brother but also his great friend so he was a shoe in for best man. Tyler was an excellent soccer player and learned everything he knows about the game from his older brother (per Andrew). Although their mom says she loves her boys equally, we all know Tyler is the favorite (also per Andrew). With killer wedding dance moves and questionable music taste Andrew has watched Tyler grow into the man he is today and could not be more proud of what the future holds for him.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Any Chicago sports team minus the Cubs (south side!), Starwars, Indian food, wearing shorts year round, EDM, and the greatest upset in St. Mary soccer history. He is a Breschia University alumni

Groomsman

Chad Perrewe

Andrew met Chad playing church league basketball as kids and they ended up becoming good friends in high school while at St. Mary. They both decided they would be attending UofL after graduation and ended up rooming together their Freshmen year at Stevenson Hall. They were known to run the courts at the SAC on a daily basis which in turn caused an accumulation of gym socks that left their dorm smelling like a boys locker room. Over the years, they've stayed connected through their love for sports and taste in music- you will never get a bad music recommendation from Chad. Their hangouts look a little different now with Chad's son running around but watching him become the best dad has been so cool.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Golfing, Call of Duty, English Premier League, surviving having a newborn and a toddler, his dog (Winston), and skyline chili. He is a University of Louisville and Murray State University alumni

Groomsman

Dillon Lynn

One of a few cousins in this bridal party, Dillon is the older brother Andrew never had. Growing up in the Neihoff compound left them pretty much inseparable. From soccer, to dirt bikes, Dillon showed Andrew the ropes and never let him win at anything (Andrew says it isn't because he was better but only because he was bigger and older). He is always down for an end of the night cigar or a phone call just to catch up. However, this usually turns into them saying goodbye for 35 minutes before ever ending the phone call (Ali has seen it). After countless hours of watching Dillon play videogames as kids, now Andrew gets to watch him coach his kids sports teams and raise an amazing daughter and son.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Becoming a grill master, homemade pickles, how to ever finish a TV series when you have two kids, The Blue Angels airshows, being perpetually late to everything, perfecting a Midwest goodbye, and Supercross

Groomsman

Andrew Durbin

The Andrew's! Both St. Mary graduates but didn't connect until Andrew was out of high school and had to come to Tyler's defense after a poorly executed haircut by Durbin and another baseball teammate. But there were no hard feelings when they quickly realized they both liked to party and play video games and have been friends ever since. Durbin is never afraid to speak his mind and never afraid to give Andrew shit until he meets him out for a beer or round of golf. But no matter how long they go between hangs, they can always pick up right where they left off.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Kentucky Wildcats, Michelob Ultra, Call of Duty, anything soccer related, his winning battle with alpha-gal, Golfing, his dog (Dash), and being single and ready to mingle

Groomsman

Alex Neihoff

The baby of the Neihoff cousins! Are we starting to see a trend here? Family is everything to us! Andrew will always remember watching Alex play baseball and getting to cheer him on at Busch Stadium two times while he was in high school. They have only gotten closer as they have grown up. Alex has always been supportive of Andrew and helped him through some difficult times. He still goes out of his way to try and spend time with Andrew and Ali anytime he comes to Paducah or they go to Nashville. They have spent countless hours trying to figure out how to rebuild the Chicago Bears franchise. Their time together is even more special now that Andrew has watched Alex become a dad and getting to be a part of his son's life.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: The Nashville Preds (go hawks!), country music, having to give free physical therapy to all friends/family since finishing school, Kentucky Wildcats, "I feel the need... the need for speed", and Starwars. He is a Western Kentucky University and University of St. Augustine alumni

Groomsman

Trey Brann

Andrew's soon to be brother-in-law. Trey was only in high school when Andrew and Ali started dating but never acted too cool to hang out with them when they visited from Kentucky . He was also never too shy to ask them to buy him beer until he finally turned 21. Trey has the attention span of a goldfish but always stands up for the "little guy" and wants everyone around him to have the best time. He may not look it but he has the biggest heart. Roommate rating 2/10, would not recommend. In all seriousness, Ali and Andrew have loved watching Trey grow up and can't wait to see all the things he will accomplish.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: Hunting and fishing, Rick & Morty, his new obsession with vinyl records, always having a stomach ache but only eating cheese, Cardinals Baseball, and Starwars

Usher

Glenn Mason

Glenn was a welcomed addition to Ali's family after he married MOH, Haley, and has been rolling with the craziness ever since. He is one of the hardest working people they know and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He is passionate about what he believes in and always has a good one liner. Notorious for always leaving any drinks he brings over to Ali and Andrew's in their fridge for weeks at at time and never complains when he is interrupted 1000x by a Branson when he is trying to tell a story. Glenn has been a great friend to Andrew since him and Ali met and they are so excited he will be a part of their special day!

If you see him at the wedding conversation topics could include: Tattoos, Xbox gaming, anime, grilling the best burger, how to survive nightshift, that puns are the highest form of comedy, Nascar, and anything but country music and Metallica

Usher

Jake Branson

Jake is Ali's cousin and the unofficial godfather to Ali and Andrew's dog, Riley. He has always been one of Ali's closest friends and now has tricked Andrew into being friends with him too. You can always count on Jake for a sarcastic comment, great music recommendations, and a dang good time. He has always helped Ali not take herself or life too seriously. Jake has been a part of many great memories over Ali and Andrew's relationship- from trips to concerts and many nights out in between. They knew their wedding wouldn't be complete ( or nearly as fun) without Jake in the action.

If you see him at wedding events, conversation topics could include: HIs dog (Oliver), Supercross, disappearing on nights out for side quests every time he gets too drunk, his new city life in Denver, playing guitar, Nashville hot chicken, real-estate opportunities, and bluegrass recommendations
